So. Tired.

Party this weekend went well. Started slow, as they always do, but [livejournal.com profile] tetron, [livejournal.com profile] xxv and girlfriend, [livejournal.com profile] lillabellefp and boyfriend, [livejournal.com profile] ursamajor, [livejournal.com profile] nostrademons and the four communistas all had a good time. I enjoyed it immensely, and look forward to seeing you all again sometime. (And I feel like I"m forgetting someone, so yell at me for it at some point, eh?)

We have excellent patio furniture from Target now. It's really pretty. I like it.

Sunday, woke up early, went to MIT Swapfest with Jess, where we met up with AaronSw and Xavier/Tina again. Aaron came back to the commune and met the communistas and got a tour of the house. While at the Swapfest, Aaron introduced me to Seth Finkelstein.

Watching the two of them interact was an interesting example of cat and mouse with the eyes, probably a result of bringing two social recluses into close contact. (I'm not sure if Seth falls into this category, but I'm pretty sure Aaron would say that he does.)

I also learned that there are musical instruments at the Kendall T stop. Chimes, a gong of some kind, and a giant sheet of metal that you can move back and forth with levers on the walls at the stop.

I also learned that the oldest still standing building at Harvard was built in the 1750s. (Can't remember which one, and I may have the wrong date.)

Did a bunch of unpacking: moved from the "unpack and put everything away" technique to the "get everything out of damn boxes" technique. Since all of the boxes I unpacked were about 1/4 full, it created a feeling of being a lot more unpacked, and there's less to manuver around to get stuff unpacked now. This pleases me.

All in all, a pretty great weekend, although I'm completely exhausted now. Woke up at 5:30 this morning, was on the road by 6, in the office by 7.

So. tired.

Meeting other people from the internet is pretty cool.

The Commune 2.0 has a location in Cambridge. I like it. It's 3 levels and pretty and has lots of trees.

Pezzy has been living with us for a week: it's worked out surprisingly well considering how cramped we are.

I have been packing since I woke up. This was not really all that long ago, since I was up late last night - first, getting the commune home from Boston, then chilling out with [livejournal.com profile] pezstar, [livejournal.com profile] acerbic and [livejournal.com profile] kingnixon while drinking alcohol.

I snuggled Jessie this morning. It was nice.

Yesterday, met [livejournal.com profile] bobert225, [livejournal.com profile] sherm and [livejournal.com profile] wayitgoes in Boston. We went to the Museum of Science, saw the Butterly Exhibit (which was very cool), and then to Durgen Park, which was interesting, although I wish we could have found somewhere quieter -- having more time to talk would have been nifty.

Chelsea was extremely nice, and hanging out with Sherm now is much more comfortable than it used to be. Last time I met him, I still thought LiveJournal employees were out to get me, rather than just lazy. Now I realize that that isn't the case, which makes conversations with him much easier. Bob is always fun to hang out with, too, and watching Pez/Kristna fawn over him was amusing.

I've updated the collection in Delicious Library on my computer to include 160 books, all of which are now packed into Boxes. I've starated pulling things out of our cabinets in the kitchen.
