The new password system at livejournal is designed to prevent easy to guess passwords, such as those based on dictionary words. This is a quote from an actual support request.

I went to change my password and it says "bad password: based on dictionary word." So i get a dictionary out and type a word in. it comes up with the same thing.

*sigh* It's saying you can't use a dictionary word - so you go get a dictionary. wonderfully brilliant.
