Jun. 18th, 2003 09:53 amOn Monday night, I had the highest number of keystrokes per hour for the entire night. Total, I was second highest, but the guy who beat me stayed an hour later than I did.
Two of the guys in room clapped for the guy who was in second. Despite the fact that I was in the room, and he was not. I don't think they like me too much. This is actually not anything new. They are two friends from high school, whose favorite pastimes are getting drunk and insulting people. Based on their description of previous experiences, they're bullies - they discuss how they shoved people in lockers for fun, etc.
Last night, the operations manager for the Case team came in. (Read: boss.) She was talking to the supervisor in the room. After about 3-5 minutes of being in the room, she turned to her side, looked at the two of them, and said brightyly, "Hi!" They both stopped chatting, and looked over at her questioningly. Ryan eventually offered a "Hi?" in a tone that indicated she was being more of a distraction than anything else. "not keying much right now, are we?" she asked, questioning their dedication to their work. (Note: I've been questioning their dedication to their work for about a week. Every time they get told they're doing something wrong and they need to do it right, they say they'll only do it if they get more money.)
"You can check our stats, we've done really well tonight."
*smack*
Your boss just sat down next to you, told you you weren't working hard enough, and you talked back to her. These are two of the people I work with.
The rest of the people are pretty good. Another one is rather slow, but he admits it. The rest of them are hardworking and dedicated.
Those two represent all that is wrong in the world.
syddle - I'm worried about you. Please read my email to you if you haven't yet.
acerbic - *hug* I hope you are okay and working on feeling better.
kamara - Zelda? Bah :P
ratkrycek,
solcita,
jessical - thank you for all your help over the past couple days. It's meant a lot to me.
Dear Family -
Yes, the internet is slow. We have dialup. DEAL. Turning on my monitor and staring at the screen will not help. Nor will telling me the internet is slow. I can't fix it.

Dear my friends list -
I've been horribly crappy about reading your posts between 3pm and 2am, central time. There are too many of you, and not enough of me. On average, I get 80-100 posts in that time period. If I miss something, I'm sorry, I'm doing the best I can.

Dear Jessica, Yes, I am hiding from Sarah. V pna'g jnvg sbe lbh gb or urer. V pna bayl ubcr gung rirelguvat vf tbvat gb jbex bhg nyevtug. Lbh'er nznmvat, naq V zrna gung. Rot13 kthx.
Things to do today: Cash some of these checks. Buy some candy at the store so I don't have to vending machine buy today. Lunch meat is a good thing. Take cash to Sarah because I never paid her back for great america tickets. (I'm so stupid :/.)
Would anyone be interested in a fairly thorough description of what I actually do at work? I can write one up. I just want to know if any of you care.
Now, I think I'm going to talk to people. This has gotten long enough. I like this song.
