I got slashdotted today. [livejournal.com profile] idigital posted some stuff about the now-confirmed LJ sell to 6A, and the next thing I knew I was getting 10 hits/second from the slashdot post. Kinda cool, for a nerd like me. My site didn't go under, although my CPU load was definitely maxing out or coming close to it for a good 30 minutes while I was at the top of the page. I've gotten something along the lines of 10,000 hits from that. Nifty.

Personally, although I do a lot of scare mongering, I don't expect that LJ will change significantly from the user perspective. I do think that it will probably (eventually) change away from the open source project it is now, but I could be wrong on that.

I love Jess. This entire day has been interesting. I'm finally onto a new website design - a simplistic one that I don't hate. It's happy making. I couldn't sleep last night. I ended up tired. I'm thinking of prototyping a P2P like system for dynamically redirecting web requests. I think it'd be cool.

I'm sleepy. This entry is disjointed. I used to write entries like this a lot, but then I made my journal all techy. it was probably a bad idea. I kinda missed this.

I should finish my technorati app. Also should talk to family this weekend. I feel like I'm forgetting something. Anyone know what I might be forgetting?

Happy Wednesday.
