crschmidtI am now the owner of a round trip ticket to Cape Town, South Africa. I depart on Sept 26th, the conference is the 29th -> Oct 3rd, and I return on Oct 11th.
It was actually a lot cheaper than I expected: only $1450 round trip airfare. Still not as cheap as Switzerland ($750) or Victoria ($400), but a lot better than I had thought it would be originally.
Now, all you people who told me to take extra time in Africa have a responsibility to help take care of Jess and the girls for me while I'm gone. :p
